Who can be admitted to the Eating Disorders Intensive Recovery Day Program? Men and women aged 18 yrs and older who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder according to DSM-IV criteria. Clients must be medically and psychiatrically stable and free of substance abuse/dependence for at least 3 months. Clients must be seeking treatment on a voluntary basis. How long do clients stay in your Intensive Recovery Day Program? The program is geared towards helping a participant achieve and learn how to maintain recovery within six (6) months upon entering the program. How many clients are in your Programs? We have up to six clients in our Intensive Recovery Program at one time. Is support available when clients have completed the Intensive Recovery Program? Recognizing that recovery from eating disorders is a long-term process, we offer a What help is available to family members of clients? Our staff provides family members with information on eating disorders and the recovery process in our Program. Recognizing the tremendous impact that eating disorders can have on families, our staff is also available to provide support to families. As well, appropriate referrals are made to other community resources that might be of assistance to family members.
