Unique Ways to Contribute

Looking for a green option for gift-giving at Christmas or any time of the year? Consider supporting a local charity in your friends' and family's name! A SACRED volunteer and her family have decided to reduce the amount they spend on Christmas gifts for each other and instead make donations to charities that are important to their family members. For the past three years, the volunteer's family have made donations in her name to SACRED.

Some friends of SACRED donate monthly, automatically off their paycheck, to SACRED through the United Way - and their employers match their contribution! Check out if your employer donates through the United Way and request that your contributions come to SACRED.

Another friend of SACRED, on a significant birthday, requested that her friends, in lieu of gifts, donate to SACRED! Not only do they honour her, but they also receive a tax receipt for their contribution.

Consider how you might support SACRED at your next gathering of family or friends, asking for contributions to SACRED in your honour!

Private Donations

SACRED depends on the support of generous individuals, corporations, agencies and the community in general to fund our Programs and support our work. We thank all of you for your generous support!

Did you know that beginning in 2007 that any donations over $200 will be eligible for a income tax credit of 21 percent, to encourage Albertans to give even more. Including the federal charitable donations credit, Albertans will receive 50 cents in tax credits for every dollar donated over the $200 threshold.

SACRED’s fundraising goal for 2007-08 is $100,000.00.  100% of proceeds go towards the operation of SACRED and its programs.

Monetary and in-kind donations are gratefully accepted. Tax receipts are available for memberships, donations of $20 or more (or on request) and for gifts-in-kind.
